RMI was originally formed in the late 60's by three brothers who developed the primary components as a roofing and waterproofing system.  Roofmart International was then incorporated in 1990 where it has continued its legacy of creating quality fluid applied materials ever since.   

Yes, RMI has consistently produced the same quality materials over and over and over for at least 50 years. Continuity and quality may be wishful thinking for some roofing manufacturers but with RMI it is part of our DNA.  

In order to properly optimize the performance properties of the RMI system, its application requires both proficient installers of a highly competent roofing contractor and knowledgeable specifiers.  In developing its technical sales model for total support, RMI took a hard look at the success stories of both contractors and specifiers.  A common set of successful traits were evident; The owner or principal had surrounded them self with quality experts at each phase of their business.  Thus, was borne the RMI team concept.

Our RMI - Flex Product

RoofMart International (RMI) manufactures high solid, low permeance fluid-applied roofing and waterproofing systems to renovate existing commercial and industrial rooftops and building envelope applications.

It all starts with a non-breathable liquid applied membrane whose performance matches roll sheet Type I vapor retarders. It forms a durable, seamless monolithic membrane with superior adhesion conforming to existing roofs or substrate surfaces with same-day curing for a finished application or a base for liquid applied roof coatings. RMI also provides highly weather-resistant, low perm liquid-applied roof coatings and rigid spray polyurethane foam.

  • Two-part  catalyzed Polyglycol rubber, 100% solids, solvent free, non-breathable vapor retarder liquid applied membrane used as a base coat or flashing membrane for application in multiple roofing and waterproofing component systems. UV exposure applications require RMI liquid applied roof coatings.
  • Fluid Applied Membrane Perm rating: Non-Breathable per Permeance testing.
  • While many fluid applied membranes have excellent elongation properties, RMI Flex has 100% memory.
  • Ideal for both extreme high and low temperature applications.
  • Does not require reinforcing fabrics.
  • Ideal for both vertical and horizontal applications.
  • Exceptional dry and cure times make it impervious to rain within 30 minutes depending on ambient temperature.
  • Same day surface wear coat applications.
  • Brush, roller or spray applied.

Our rmi-thane product

  • A silver high solid, low VOC based, single component urethane (flexible) liquid applied (radiant barrier) roof coating for either stand-alone application or over RMI-Flex fluid applied membrane for a finished installation.
  • Liquid Applied Roof Coating Perm rating: Breathable per Permeability testing.
  • Contains higher percent of polished flake aluminum.
  • May be used as a rust inhibitor to prevent further oxidation. Resistant but not impervious to surface contaminants.
  • Low permeability than typical water based elastomeric coating.
  • Durable wear surface.
  • Ideal for both extreme high and low temperature applications.
  • Ideal for both vertical and horizontal applications.
  • Brush, roller or spray applied.

Stand-Alone Substrates:

  • Structural Concrete.
  • Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF).
  • Asphalt Built-Up Roofing (BUR).
  • Modified Bitumen (SBS & APP).
  • Metal (Ducts, Roof Panels, Wall Panels, Coping, Flashings, Gutters).

our rmi-primer products

Primers as surface preparation are an intricate part of any fluid applied roofing and waterproofing system.  Their fundamental purpose is to assist adhesion to a particular substrate or existing roof system prior to application of RMI thus ensure limiting moisture migration from the underlying substrate or existing roof system.  Unchecked moisture migration from the underside could lead to delamination of the new fluid applied system. RMI primers have been formulated for specific applications and substrates.

RMI requires both moisture & adhesion testing prior to new system installation.  These tests determine how much or how many coats of a specific primer are required to function properly based upon tested field conditions. When in doubt as to a particular substrate or project specific application, contact RMI Technical Services.

Contact RMI for applicable substrates and applications.

  • Fluid applied single component aromatic primer to provide adhesion for RMI products as "RMI Flex" vapor barrier.
  • Low VOC: Has moderate odor during application.
  • Required for application of "RMI Flex" unless otherwise approved by RMI Technical Services.
  • Cure rate will vary depending upon temperature, humidity and wind for local conditions. Allow primed surface to be dry to touch before application of additional materials.

  • Asphalt Built-Up Roofing (BUR).
  • Modified Bitumen (SBS & APP).

There are many times that we all wish we could just talk to another professional, regardless of their location, about an RMI project or there, their experiences or just to chat with another RMI seasoned professional.  Well, that time has come.  Welcome to RoofMart Remote Roof Program (RRRP) where you can talk and plan projects with like-minded individuals without all the nonsense and baggage of so-called professional forums or waiting weeks for meetings between all parties.  

By participating in this program, it is with the understanding that any provided direct contact is solely between and of the participants on a particular project.  Unless requested in writing, RMI provides no other assistance than providing materials including pricing to said project.  If you require additional technical information, please contact RMI directly.  

Any participant who fails to compensate the other party for provided / agreed upon services may be suspended from RMI services and products until RMI is assured the matter is satisfactorily settled between all parties.
